Default CEL resetting

My daughter lost the fuel cap. Well that trigger the CEL. Got a new cap but how can I reset the CEL?

It should go away by itself - hours or even a couple days.

Still have the CEL on. Had 3 different parts houses scan it and try to reset it but none of them worked. Any suggestions?

Where did you get the replacement cap? Is it possible it is not sealing properly?

If you did not get the right cap the light will not go away. Your cap should have a blue gasket with black stem or green gasket with a green stem. I think the blue gasket cap is the correct one for you.
