Try this, it worked on mine: Load a CD onto your computer and download into I-Tunes, go to Advanced- "Get File Names". File names will be loaded via the internet and will show up in your playlist. Then burn a new CD using Sonic. Try this in your dash mounted CD player or NAV DVD player. The song names will show up!

I have never heard of Sonic but iTunes defiantly DOES NOT support CD-Text. Burning a CD directly from iTunes (for Windows) will not create a disc with text.

Yes NERO DOES support CD-Text.

To have CD-Text info on a disc you burn yourself...

1. Your burner has to support CD-Text.
2. Your burning software has to support CD-Text.
3. Your play-back device has to support CD-Text.

Without all 3 components, you do not see the track info.

If you have NERO you can run the Nero InfoTool.

NO nav, NO text!

I had a 520 loaner with bus nav and couldn't see text of the CD that displays text on my cra!!!
So I guess it only works with pro nav, or for the US, it only works with nav (since there is no bus nav).
Might be the Cd drive...

It sounds like this is the case. My DVD/CD burner on my computer DEFINITELY burns CD Text. I can input my own text on Roxio (probably the most widely used widespread burning software out there) and then play it on my home DVD player and the text shows up. It shows up on the wife's car as well.

So......

Does anyone out there who DOES NOT have NAV in the U.S. have their CD text working on their car?

Again, this is not a big deal that it doesn't work, but it is just such a basic feature that could be included in a car of this calibur that has an on-screen I-drive like it does. I mean cheap ass Kia's even have this.....It's just dissappointing....
