My Ride: 2005 545i, Black on Black, cold weather pkg, Logic 7 sound, steptronic.

I've seen several posts in here talking about CD Text being available in the E60, but I have yet to make it work.

I know you have to have Text-enabled CDs (which I have), so does anyone know whether a non-Nav E60 with 16.2 should support CD Text, and if so how to turn it on?

Burn a audio cd with Nero. You'll get it.

It's allways on. It's only working with the in-dash CD player.

While test driving a new 3 series this weekend, I played one of my CD's and the text was shown, however, the same CD will not show in my 5 series.

Thanks for the info everyone. I'm guessing I'm in JBOO's shoes and my 5 series doesn't show text either.

This is the second non-Nav E60 I've owned, but thought maybe the newer software had enabled this feature.

CD text allways worked.
It needs to be on the CD and only works on the in-dash player and when you're in the CD menu.

I have standard US audio setup and no Nav - no CD text. Never had it, probably never will either. Yes i've burnt the cds correctly.

The question is, can CD-Text be displayed in a Non-Nav car in US (bus. radio)? Correct me if I'm wrong, but if Iceman's information on prof. radio (CD-ROM) vs. bus. radio (Audio CD) is true, then non-Nav car is not capable of displaying CD-Text regardless of software update.
