I have a CD stuck in the CD Player, when I press the eject button I hear the mechanics clicking trying to work, but it's stuck in there some how. The CD that's stuck in there still plays, just won't come out.

Few questions

Is it possible to take the cd out or do I need to replace the cd player?

Do I need to replace the whole unit or just the cd player cause I was looking througgh realoem and I saw prices like $1,500. Not worth it for a cd player unit.

Does anyone have instructions on how to remove the dashboard to get to the cd player unit?

Please help.

Though I can use my dvd player to listen to cd's it's annoying cause then I do not have my navigation.

My vehicle is a 2006 525xi with Navigation.

Thanks in advance.

Did you try power cycling the idrive? Try pressing down on both eject buttons (the one for the cd player and the one for
the DVD rom) and the volume control button all at the same time to power cycle the idrive... if done correctly your idrive
will power down then restart and should eject both discs momentarily..

+1

Mute/power button + CD Eject + DVD Eject = Ctrl-Alt-Del

During the DVD-CCC boot-up, the CD can be ejected.

Thanks! I've been looking for that secret code! Now I just need the one that unlocks the supercharger under the hood?

Thanks guys, I'll try this once I get out of work and hop in the whip. But everyday I'm in there I press eject and I hear the mechanics working inside. HOPEFULLY THE CTRL+ALT+DELETE OF BMW WORKS.

It didn't work guys. The iDrive reset properly but still had trouble spitting out the disk. I guess I need a new cd player.

Sorry to hear that. In the morning, immediately after you unlock/disarm the car, try the CD eject button right away. Incidentally, you are not using a CD-R or CD-RW disc are you?
