I onw a 2005 BMW 525i A/T (E60) with a CD front loader. CD's are playing fine until I accelarate hard (revving over 5000), then I get this horrible distortion through the speakers. After the revs have returned to normal, this distortion stays for 10-20secs, after which the CD is playing perfectly clear again.
I was wondering if anyone had a similar experience, and has some advice for me.

crikey, sounds like your 525i isn't really a 525i and in fact has an Enzo unit under the bonnet maybe?
never heard of this issue, but sounds like maybe engine vibration causing distortion. weird
