cd changer?

My Ride: 2008 528i: Alpine White/Creme Dakota Leather/Bamboo Anthracite Wood Trim; Premium pkg, Ipod USB (6FL), Xenons, sunroof, Eibach pro-kit 1.2" drop all around, limo tint all around. LED license plate festoons. Soon to come: M6 replica 19" rims, Angel Eyes mod, fog light mod.

so i got a stupid, embaressing question.....i supposedly have a 6disc cd changer. i havent figured out how to load 6discs. how does it work?

Push the eject button by the cartridge in the glove box. Then take the cartridge out load six discs into it, one in each of the pull out trays and reinsert it back inot the changer.

You know it's in the Glove box right? That would be a good place to start. ( at least in the us it is located in the very back of the glove).
I can't remember if there is some thing in the owners Manuel or not but that also could be a good place to start.

wow ive looked in the glovebox not for the changer but i mean ive used it opened it put stuff inside tooken stuff out never noticed a cd changer....ill check in an hr or two when i leave work

It's there, way in the back on the right. You have to lean down and look for it. Just opening the glove box to grab something and you will not be able to see it.

hmm thats weird. i just went and checked and there is nothing there. i always thought i had a 6disc cd changer but guess not.......

Since your profile reports that your car has the IPOD adapter - if it does, the CD Changer is removed.

oh. is it cause BMW thought hands down i would have an ipod? FYI i dont and i have about 300cd's in my car right now...no biggy its just that i use cd's and not an ipod im not "hip" yet

6 disc changer used to be part of Logic 7 sound (premium) sound system. Starting with the 2008 (LCI) cars, where you could order the iPod option, the changer became a separate option as well. If you don't want to use the iPod option, you can still have the changer installed. Dig around, you may even be able to buy one and install yourself though I suspect the dealer will have to active in the iDrive system...
