Hello everyone,
I have E60 525i M54 with 160 000 km on the clock. It is early 2004 model. The thing is I took my dipstick out yesterday while on idle and I did not noticed any difference in sound, or vibration or idle change. No change, but from dipstick tube one could hear grinding or same strange noise. Also the CCV was "serviced" few months back in official stealers bmw garage along with leaky head cover gasket.
Also I have noticed my car produce smoke more than other cars when in red light stop. While driveing it is normal. I am experiencing slight increase in fuel consuption.
Is this clear sign that my CCV is faulty? And can increased smoke be related to this issue?
All help is welcome,
