CCC and HD Radio

My dealer has having problems getting the PROGMAN to "take" and has just notified me that they need to order a replacement CCC. My car is 08 535i. The car was not build with the HD radio option, but includes NAV and L7. Is it possible to somehow get (or pay extra for) the HD radio option installed as part of the CCC change?
It's so annoying to have all other options but that one! My radio shows an "RDS" option that displays nonsense for the stations names. Does anyone else have this problem? Would the HD radio fix this?
