We also got the notice this week and it is a bit confusing. If you read the details about the settlement (8 page document) item #7 on page 3 states a free inspection is available yet when you keep reading on page 4 this only covers model years 2007 to 2010. The heading on page one states the settlement covers years 2004 to 2010.
The contact information for the lawyers is unhelpful in that there are no phone numbers, nor email addresses provided. Has anyone tried to get an answer as to the reason for the exclusions?

My Ride: Sold: 545i, sport package, cold weather, 6MT
Model Year: 2004
Engine: N62
PSA: When checking my trunk for water (fortunately there was none), I checked the spare tire pressure on a whim, and sure enough, it was at 19 PSI, well below the 60 PSI recommendation.
Check your spare tires folks!

My interpretation of the model year discrepancy is that the inspection, relocation of components, and repair of damages is limited to 2007-2010 with less than 120,000 miles but reimbursement for work already done is open to 2004-2010 with the limitation that the repairs were done before 10 years of service and 120,000 miles.

Has anyone had luck bringing a care to a dealership for the inspection and relocation? I have called my local dealership in Mass (herb Chambers in sudbury) a few times now and they have no idea what I am talking about. I provided the service letter. Each time i am told they are going to research it and call me back but never hear back.
They are getting paid for the work so I am not sure why they are ducking the issue
