All useless posts so far yeilding no information op asked about. couple pros cf gives a fashionable look while typically weighing less than standard parts. A few cons of cf that they tend to fade over time if exposed in direct sunlight, has possibilities of chipping.

Umm... the OP did ask if anyone had done it, which i replied to.

Pros - weigh less and can feel difference in performance of car. Looks good (main reason)

Cons - Fit is not 100% OEM however quite close.

There is no real con when compared to original bonnet because paint will fade and it will chip over time regardless if it is CF or original!

However, you do need to check the quality of the CF as some will fade much faster or turn yellowish. One way around it is to paint it - i have painted mine as i do not want to have such a large contrast between Ti Silver and CF.

Thanks for the replies!

I've been looking at a few on eBay (I know that's taking a chance), but they are reasonably priced ($300 to $350)

My Car is Sapphire black, so I probably wouldn't need to paint it. My fear is that the fit will be so bad that i'll end upt taking it off.

My current hood looks like it was a replacement, and the PO did a crappy job of painting it.

So the question is, do I repaint the hood or replace it? I think a CF hood would look perfect with some CF badges...

I don't want to spend 2 grand on a high end vented CF hood (although that would be perfect).
