Carbon black VS saphire black

Is carbon black more darker than saphire black?

It appears slightly blacker. The average person would not likely notice. The metallic saphire black is slightly more reflective.

I think that Black Sapphire is darker than Carbon Black. In bright sunlight/light Carbon Black has a "blue hue" to it. I would say that most E39 M5's and M3's that you'll see are Carbon Black. Jet black being just that, Jet Black

I had my jet black 545 parked next to an identical sapphire black 545, and the jet black is definitely darker. It is a deeper looking black, and definitely looks better when both are clean. With some dirt on them, the sapphire looks a little better IMO.
