Hi all,

We're still not 100% sure on the colour we will be ordering on the 535d with Mkit.

Everyone says the Carbon Black looks more blue than black, but in every picture I see carbon black looks really black.

Does any one have a pic were you can actually see that there's some blue shine?

We currently have an E39 with Mkit in Cosmos Black, IMHO the M kit looks better on a lighter colour so the front bumper is better visible.

Feel free to comment/post suggestion,

Thx,

Phil

Carbon Black on e60 is something between Black and Orient Blue so under bright light conditions you see blue hue there. On pictures of dark colours it is very difficlut to judge on the lines (in partcilar to compare aerokits) and specifically Carbon black usually looks plain black.

Very nice!
However even outside it looks very black and I hardly notice any blue shine? Is it bluer in real life?

Thanks pmmeke! In your pics you really see the blue shine! That's what I was looking for.

Php,

If you park a Carbon black car next to a Jet or Sapphire black car the Carbon looks like Orient blue. BMW have really changed this colour a lot from the original Carbon black offered on the M cars.

Wow...I've seen a carbon black car a couple of times in daylight, but on this picture the blue is really striking.
I knew with a lot of sunlight that the car gets a deep blue shine, but not to this extent.
I see some light reflected on the car and I believe the picture is inside a hangar.
Is that pure white light?
Anyway, can't argue that this looks like deep dark oriental blue. That's what makes it a special color as well. I still think it is the best color for the sport package (for me at least).
