This past weekend, My sisters 3 series (with comfort access) wouldn't leave Park "P". The car started fine, everything worked, but gave her the symbol to push the brake, which she was doing, but still wouldn't engage into any gear..

Anyone ever experience this with the e60??

Any thoughts on what it could be? Its currently at the dealer right now..

BTW, if any of you live in the Northern VA area, DO NOT take your car to BMW of Arlington.. Horrible Service.

I've not seen that, but my car will back to park if I try to move with any door open. Throws you the first time it does that. If there is no comfort access fob around, you get a big warning that it is missing. The car will still drive though.

Odd, as you have to push the brake to start it, which kind of rules out anything related to the brake pedal?

Not sure if that really helps but maybe the service adviser at BMW Arlington will come back and say the same thing
