Gentlemen, today, my car stalled three times while moving. Each time, the stall occurred when I was braking. My RPM meter seems to dive when the car is coming to a stop. When the car stalled, the meter dropped too suddenly.
When I put the H&N filter in the car a couple of weeks ago, the car started to make some strange RPM movements at the lower speeds.
Any relationship? Does the computer have to be reset with the H&N filter to accommodate a better flow of air?

Perhaps I got a bad tank of gasoline. I am not sure.

Any thoughts?

my motorcycle used to stall just like your case. Engine running lean will stall at low speed. Dealer fix it in a fly, no big deal.

Will the dealer fix it?
What if the H&N filter is causing the problem?
Dealers do not like aftermarket parts.

Try throwing in the old paper filter and see if the problem goes away. If it does then you may have over oiled your K&N air filter.

Did your check engine light come on?

The check engine light does come on.
I have no oil on my K&N filter. Should I?

Have an auto parts store pull the code and see if it points to a problem related to the air intake or MAF sensor. If not you may be dealing with another unrelated issue. And try the old paper filter too. As for the oil, it's been a while since I've used one and if they come pre-oiled then you're okay. If not, the filter should be oiled with their filter oil to work properly.

After I put in my K&N, the rpms at idle fluctuate a lot on my car. It sometimes starves itself, but it has not stalled so far.

Mine has never stalled too, in fact the car feels smoother than before.

Did you remove the charcoal filter? If so that has an effect. And if you also change filter media the "fuel/air ratio" changes and the oxygen sensor may not be able to compensate since you don't have a 'throttle body" but have to depend on valve lift.
