RIP to the Goblin....

Deciding between now and Monday whether I will buy an E92 M3 or an E60 M5.....i honestly dont want to consider any other cars....unless i could afford an Aston Martin or Maserati

Here are the specs:

E92 M3 2008 CPO with 30k miles from my local BMW dealership (they have always taken care of me so i plan to buy via them)

Options
- DCT (which i fucking love btw!)
- Cold weather package
- Suunroof (my preference)
- Navigation
- Sport pkg with the 19" wheels
- EDC with full M sport package (you can calibrate damn near everything)
- Silverstone with black leather interior (my first color choice is blk....but either way it goes...i plan to wrap it again....but i still love silverstone too)
- Does not have logic7 or heated steering wheel

E60 2008 LCI M5 SMG with 39k miles from the same dealership, Black Sapphire Metallic

Options (all of them i can think of to be honest)
- Navigation
- Soft Touch Door close
- Heated Seats front & rear, heated steering wheel
- HUD
- Active Seats
- Cooled Seats
- Comfort Seats
- Extended leather....the entire dashboard is black Nolovo leather....so nice!
- Logic7
- Brushed Aluminum trim

Pricing wise, they are both equal. literally my payments would be the exact same....i think im leaning towards the M5 as the daily drive will be more comfortable given the size of the car, the seats, the interior is plush....it feels like the M3 in a tuxedo. But ive always wanted an M3 and it looks like a f*cking dream....im really torn. any input would help. im making a decision this weekend....no rush...its just these are the only two types of cars i would even consider at this point and this dealer and these cars are on the up & up.

I am worried that getting another E60 will bring all the random ass problems i had with my 2004....the CPO Warranty helps with that but it might make sense to avoid it and jump into another platform. Here are pics of the Silverstone E92:

M3 all the way. When you drove them both which one made you smile? I'm guessing M3 DCT

I have to say M5... Its my next car hopefully. The M3 is sweet but the 5 as you have stated is an M3 in a tuxedo. I have 2 boys and need the extra room... the 3 seems so small. And 2 doors just isn't really practical. I do worry about the e60 reliability although I am not too sure of the M5's suffer from a lot of what we see here??... and the CPO on the M3 is sweet but I do think you will miss the Logic 7 and heated wheel - I know I would!

GL and sorry to hear about the Goblin

M5. If I ever buy an M3, it will be my "second" car. It has a lot packed into it, but I want the space and environment of the 5 series most of the time.

M5 - Spend a few minutes in those seats and you will understand. The extra 100hp is just a bonus.

If you want a sport car then it's M3 all the way. M5 in other hand feels heavy, but get me wrong it's fast car ( I had drove for some time), but m3 is edgily fast.

M3
A nice change from your past ride and one slick car. Also probably somewhat easier on gas then the V10
