Hi,couldn't find this answer anywhere on the forums so just thought i'd ask before I take it to the shop. My 525i shakes every time I'm on the freeway or when i go past 60 the seats vibrate along with everything else in the car. i can deal with it normally just gets annoying during long trips, does anyone know what could be wrong ?

I'd bet that somewhere along the way you've bent a wheel ... probably the inner portion where it's not readily visible. Wheels can be straightened ... search the forum or ask for local recommendations. Otherwise it may be a simple re-balance is needed - BMWs are very sensitive in that regard.

Don't drive at high speeds

Could be bent wheel or tire out of balance. You could rotate to see if it stops. BMW is against tire rotation though because tires get wear patterns in them and if you rotate the car could pull, etc.

had a slight harmonic vibration in mine. Got front wheels rebalanced and didn't help. Wound up getting the front control arm bushings replaced and its much better.

Bent rims, if the steering wheel is shaking, chances are it is the front. If the whole body has vibration it might be the rear. GL

Did you recently get new tires? Did they balance the wheels correctly?

Check the wheel balance first - cheapest and easiest fix... go from there if its not that.
