Is it just me or do you guys notice that when you look @ your car from the rear from a good distance, the rear wheels look like the are caved in @ the top, somthing my friends and i like to refer to the german K-Leg. Personally, I LOVE IT, but why is the question did the guys from munich choose such design. I first guess would be 4 Handling but i would love to hear you guys.

Thanks

As far as I know it's just the negative camber, which is an adjustment reflective of the desired handling characteristics for this car. It improves the handling on the e60, but also helps wear down the inside of your tires.

Camber of the rear wheels, E60, adjusted?? Seems they would be affixed to the axle?

I am not very technical, but it does relate to the rear suspension; and BMWs have been that way every since the early 70s at least. I recall my '70 2002 had the same set up. Should be someone on here that can explain the details of the set up to the rest of us dummies.

Yeah, I thought it was the negative camber- which wears our tires out quickly (gets expensive with staggered setups). It also helps give us the smaller turning radius. You can make the wheels straighter if you prefer that look.

It could be negative, but hardly adjustable.
