Car Jerks when fully stopped and let go of the brake.

So basically I'm driving and hit a red light, I slow down and press the brake until I come to a complete stop. I'm sitting there for about a min or two then it turns green and I let go of the brake to hit the gas and the car jerks foward, almost like a little hop. Has anyone had an issue with their car jerking when releasing the brake? Doesn't feel normal at all.

do you have a manual or automatic transmission? You could try the 25 sec transmission reset: http://forums.5serie...smoother-shift/
A trip to the dealer for an SW update is a likely place to start if the reset doesn't work. Could be early signs of an hpfp problem: http://forums.5serie..._1#entry1078874

I have the same problem!! Has anyone fixed this??
This happens to me when I’m at a red light. Once the light is green and let go of the brake. The car takes a full 1-2 seconds to go and it jerks me forward. This also happens when my foot is on the brake and hit the start button to turn the car on. There’s like a jerk motion and it kind of sounds like it’s coming from the brakes or transmission. I cannot find a solution or what the problem is. Does anyone know??

I assume it's an automatic transmission.
What's the service history and mileage on the tranny? Most E60/61 trannies are in need of a "Mechatronics refresh" (a million posts on that) by now, which of course includes at least one fluid drain-and-fill. That fixes a host of issues for most folks, and is what I'd try if my E61 (same tranny) was doing what yours is.
