My Ride: 2005 545i Sports, Premium and dynamic packages

This might be helpful to some of you with rough idle. Took to dealer last week and this is what they did:
SIB # 11 07 06 (Insufficient valvetronic adaptation)
"Calibration of the valvetronic eccentric shaft and adjustment of valvetronic minimum lift"

Result: Car is running like it should, no shaking nor vibration; for what it is worth it did take care of my rough idle. Have your dealers look into it if necessary give them the SIB.

Thanks for sharing Val. Good to know. I assume they did this under warranty.

Yep, definately under waranty. Not sure how much work is involved and $$$, but look into it with your mechanic it's worth a shot!
