I run with Goodyear winter tires year round. My last set lasted 33k miles (one year). I have been doing this for several years. Unconventional, but winter tires operate fine in the summer.

I only got 18k out of the original run flats. With my last car, Saab, I never got more than 22k out of the snows. Per BMW recommendation, I never rotated these tires but the last 5k the rears got pretty loud. I added a little more air pressure and this helped with the noise.

I purchase four Bridgestone RE960 AS tires this past Tuesday, non-run flat and on the stock staggered rims (no scratches during install ).
This car has the sport package and my last one also had it, and I became a full time weather man trying to predict when it would snow because the summer tires just don't work, and they are not designed to.
For all of you foreigners, we Americans don't like our rims scratched which happens maybe more times here than elsewhere, and since a lot of us lease we don't want to spend for another set of rims. Anyway with todays snow here in the Northeast it was the first time I was able to drive my car under these conditions. I am going to leave them on until they wear out, storing the run flats until lease end.

Questions. 1) Are you going to save your run flats so you don't have to pay to replace them? Or because you just hate them?
2) Did you gat a spare, and if so did you need to retrofit the trunk? 3) Did you opt out of the tire/rim warranty?
Also, I have to ask, what snow? I'm at most 40 miles west of you and all we have is rain and and 45 degree F weather.
Woo Hoo!!!! for global warming!
