M5 in white = "the big white"

Maybe you should go for a Z to have a "shark front"

white mercs are no-no here - as we've got CDI versions as taxis.
lately silver mercs are getting less popular for the same reason
so far bimmers have not had to be un as taxis here.

The dealers make their prophesies self fulfilling, they order stock cars in silver and black and tell you that any other colour will have a low resale value.
Once upon a time (in the UK), if you wanted to be individual, you bought a black car. They are now as common as pennies, silver is the top selling colour, and even the police are changing from white to silver.
Because everyone has abandoned white (we don't have the stigma of white taxis here either), it now appears to be where the individualists are starting to turn and I have noticed an increasing number of white Minis, Golf GTIs and Range Rovers. What goes around also comes around.
Seeing some of the white car pics on here changed my view, done well they can look spectacular.
Not very practical for the UK though.

Our local dealer (North West UK) has a dealer-ordered e60 in stock, sport model, style 172 alloys, in White.
Surprisingly it looks absolutely amazing
However, for the UK market there's no getting away from the fact that it would be difficult to sell on without taking a big financial hit  (Even the same dealer would give you a reduced trade-in!)

Ask a dealer in the UK if you should get a white E60 and the answer everytime would be no. However ask a dealer in southern Spain the same question and it would be yes. It really is regional & country specific and like the guy in Ireland down in a big part to weather. Silver is a universal safe colour as are the darker grey colours.
<_< Mmm
I am from Northern Spain. I have never seen an E 60 or equivalent car in white or light colours..
Mine is Orientblau. (535D Touring) Interior beige leather.
Silver is too popular here. 50% of cars are silver now. You see hundreds of "metal boxes" at the road.
Black is only for "Challenging" cars. (Typically single ,ambitious, male)
White is related to relaxed people and smaller cars. Sometimes females drive them. White and silver colours are very good for sun and heat reflexion.
It is also said, that lighter colours are safer .
Dark blue and dark green are taken as "classics" but "good taste". Best "berlinas" are in these colours.
