Was just wondering if this is normal or what causes this to happen. It does not happen to me all the time, but it does once in a while. I hear a chime or two then on the iDrive it has an exclamation mark along with "The outside temperature is xx degrees."

I read from the manual (that I downloaded from here), that if the weather is too cold, it chimes (+37.5F / +3C). Was that the temperature in your case?

I thought your a$$ only stuck to the seats if you didn't have the seat heater recall done...

They should also have a chime for each time the cars value drops another $1,000.
