So I was driving along on the westbound 210 yesterday afternoon, not too far from the Angeles Crest exit, when I was lucky enough to hit a piece of debris that cleared the lifted truck in front (couldn't swerve to avoid, as I would have taken the cars next to me out lol). After a huge bang, my dash lit up like a Christmas tree. Flat tire warning (bent the rim), Active Steering failure, Drive Control system failure, Increased Emissions warning, Front Passenger airbags (!!!) malfunction...Turning her off and on didn't fix the problem. So it's dealer time. San Fernando Tire and Wheel in the City of San Fernando repaired the rim for $45. Pics below:

EEESH! Glad you're OK. Man that's a horrible feeling when you're waiting for the crunch and there's not a damn think you can do about it. Good thing you're an experienced driver and just ate it or it could have been a lot worse. Like you said, at least you got off relatively cheaply.
BTW: Not to make light of the situation, but why does the increased emissions warning pop up no matter WHAT happens?
Flat tire--increased emissions, airbag deployment--increased emissions, tail light out--increased emissions, 007 blows up your car--increased emissions. ???

Thanks man. It's an aftermarket warranty so the $100 deductible will apply. My first big concern was the tire - I thought I poped the sidewall. It's only a month old and at almost $300, it would have sucked. All things considered though, I may get out of this relatively cheaply.
