MY05 Ordered in early August, produced early November, arrived today.
525ia (family car), orient blue, tan leather, steptronic, and NAV. Beautiful car. Took it for a ride and played around with the i-drive and after about 2 hours of enjoying this machine, and must I admit, I am very disappointed... in myself.
I SHOULD HAD ORDERER MORE OPTIONS!
I should have listened to my wife, but I wanted to play it conservative... now I am paying for it. Listen up all you guys considering a purchase... MAX IT OUT.
Also, a funny ending to my day...
I was sitting in the car with my wife showing her how to navigate the i-drive, etc... My two year old son is standing in the back seat behind us... I hear him hiccup and then... EARRRLLLL. All over the backseat and floor.
I don't know if it was the new car smell or what. But it took me 45 minutes to clean all that S$%@ out of there. The floor mats are thrash now. Less then 24 hours of ownership. I guess you can say he christened it.
I said it was a family car.
Pics to follow tomorrow.
Thanks for all you guys help. I knew more about the E60 then the sale manager! And the mechanic didn't even know there was an update 14! His CPU now has a FAV link to E60.net.

Ruf930,
Congratulations on your new ride. Don't be disappointed, enjoy it with your family. After driving this one for some time, you can then start making your options list fore the next one.

Welcome to the forum.
What's your location?
If you rinse your mats with hot water and scrub with a good carpet cleaner and vacuum with a wet/dry vac they should be okay.
Spray them with Febreze when they are dry. It helps to use a fan to get them dried faster.
Better keep the back seat and floors covered for awhile.
