As the title says really, I can't leave the dog in the car without the alarm going off!

I am meant to close the door and then press the button as normal and then press it again straight away, this is meant to deactivate the interior motion sensor, however whithin 2 minutes the alarm is going off.
I thought I would try locking the car with the key, as on my e36 this locked the car with no alarm activated, but again with a few minutes the alarm is going off!

Any ideas??

Either your dog is very smart or the car is not.

The SAS works perfect in my car.

The "inside" alarm can be deactivated.

I have the same "problem" when I carry my car
on a ship from overhere to Sweden or Eastonia.

Needs double clicking, see the instruction book.
Yes, the second press of the lock button deactivates the motion sensors.

Click the key a second time to disarm the interior motion sensor. My Newf gets along fine in the back seat.

Cheers,

I understand I have to click it but it just isn't working. I have tried pressing it quickly, leaving it for 1/2 second before the second click and then a second, but nothing works. I spent an hour trying the other day, the dog thought I was going loopy!!

Don't think it has anything to do with point 6 on the latest software update do you?? I don't have comfort access though.

CIP 21 was finally installed. Took over 5 hours.
Below is a list of the E90 corrections:

1) The stored station list is intermittently empty on CCC equipped vehicles. However it is still possible to change stations using the steering wheel buttons.

(CCC is Computer Communications Center) or iDrive

2) CCC Navigation displays incorrect vehicle position. Refer to SI B84 10 05.

3) CCC: Audio switches off briefly for 5 seconds with RDS active. Refer to SI B65 26 05.

4) After programming the CCC with CIP 19.x or Progman 20.x it is not possible to store radio stations.

5) The battery is dead. During "Energy Diagnosis" the JBE (Junction Box Electronics) is identified as the "sleep mode preventer". Only concerns vehicles with Comfort Access (SA 322).

6) When the vehicle is double-locked from the inside using the remote control key and the occupant moves, the alarm is triggered. Only concerns vehicles with Comfort Access (SA 322).

So far so good. Needed to reset all presets and reacquired bluetooth.

If you want CIP 21, you will have to let your SA know that you have one of the above problems or they most likley will not authorize the update.

Same problem here, however my dog is ultra-hypered, so doesn't matter if I press mine once or twice, the dog will simply step on any buttons/things, so I simply leave my car unlocked in sight whenever he is with us.

If you have to lock the car with the dog in it, you're leaving the dog in the car too long.

The motion sensor comments are spot on. I have the same issue with my dog. Refer to the owners manual about locking the car and deactivating the motion sensor. A simple double tap on the remote lock button will fix your issues. The lights will blink as confirmation that the car is locked, armed, and motion deactivated. It is all in the manual.

PS. My golden retriever loves going for rides also!
