Hi everyone,

I have an 07 525i. I did not notice when I bought it but it has a problem reading CDs. When the car starts cold it has no problem switching songs and reading them. When it gets warm if I shut off the car and turn it on again or try to switch songs it keeps saying medium cannot be read. It is driving me crazy. I read on some other posts that you have to write cds at the slowest speed possible etc. I did all that and still very little improvement. Has this happened to anyone else??? How can I fix it without going to the dealer and charging me an arm and a leg?

ive got the same problem in my 2006 530i. I imagine would require changing out the cd player to correct
