Hi,

When I start my E60 with Professional Navigation, it will default to display the I-Drive menu, unless I had turned the car off before reaching your destination.

Can you start the E60 to display a navigation map so that it shows you where you are going? This is mainly related to showing Speed Cameras and other info.

It won't go there by default, but if you hold the I-Drive wheel to the right for 3 seconds, it will go to MAP, if that's the last thing you were doing in Nav.

It's a nice quick way to get it on screen. Same applies to all other modes, radio, climate, phone etc...just hold the button in the correct direction for about 3 secs from any screen!

As you said it is the only way, I set the Sat Nav for any destination and mute the volume.
The Nav will be guiding me, but you won't hear it. After switching car Off then On again, the car will go to Map anyway.

I hope this helps.

Why do you need to have it in guidance mode? What's wrong with just displaying the map?

If you have Extended Voice Control you can just say "MAP" and it will display the last type of map view you previously had. So with EVC, I can't think of an easier way.
