what year is your e60? if you have an LCI (2008+, I'm guess a 535i from your current avatar), the numbered buttons in the center console (underneath the radio) are actually touch enabled as well, so most likely you are brushing your finger or knuckle along one of those buttons....you can set those buttons to different features....check your manual for more info....

LMAO. OP this is the touch sensitive buttons. you can set it to whatever you want from a radio station to a specific person you call often. I know for radio stations just go to the radio station and hold down the button you want for a couple seconds and it will set... Not sure about the phone numbers but my guess is same process.

They are kind of shortcuts well if they are bothering you stop touching your CD buttons
This function is usefull like you want to call someone while driving just touch the button without pressing it
or you want to listen to your favorite station without searching for it just touch it

but before calling or searching or doing anything you must save what you want in each one

Seems like you have sticky buttons. Give all the buttons a few hard presses and that should cure that issue.

You can also set it for a location on your GPS, Person in your contact list, etc. Just go to what you want it to be, for example, call your home, then push the button for 2 seconds. start nav and program in a location and push another button for 2 seconds.

If you lightly touch any of the buttons it will list all of the new functions for the buttons on the bottom of the screen--just like the picture you sent.

It's just a quick shortcut. One of mine is my home address on GPS--now no matter where I am, I just hit the button and it will tell me how to get home (I am directionally challenged).
