Can someone tell me how to calibrate steering angle sensor

My Ride: 2012 5 Series Manual
Had the same problem. After spending changing two mechanics the third guy was able to narrow it down to a bad steering angle sensor. I was quoted over $1100 for a replacement. Followed this guide and replaced it myself. I know this is an old post but I wnated to share it hoping someone else can save $$$$.
