Now that I have working Bluetooth, I would like to add Sirius Satellite Radio to my May 04 Build e60. I do not want the black hockey puck antenna stuck on my trunk or the add-on Sirius Display Unit. It is important to me to use the shark fin antenna and the I-drive interface. Does anyone know if this can be retrofit in this manner? Thanks.

What a great group of BMW Enthusiasts! Problems are solved and the enjoyment of a great car is enhanced in this community. No pointless debates here, unlike RF. My only problem is that my wife keeps telling me that if I exercised as much as I spend time here, I would be buff within a month.

I believe that I do. I ordered Sat Radio, but they could not provide it. I think that I got Sat Prep in its place. My 04 545 was a May 04 Build.

Sorry, but in looking at you car options listed in your signature, I see you have NAV. Unfortuantely, still no fix for NAV/Sirius issue as far as I have heard. Given your build date, I would also be surprised if you got the Sat Prep as they stopped doing the prep on NAV cars because of the incompatibility issues. But check your sticker, maybe you did get the Sat Prep and there is some hope of a future fix for 04 cars w/ NAV.

I see Kigerka's car was built aroud the same and he got the Sat Prep. Maybe you do have it, but still no resolution on the NAV/Sirius conflict yet.

You can also call your parts or service dept and give them your VIN and they can tell you if you have SAT prep or not.
