Yes, the mirrors will UNfold after driving a few feet. Might be a new feature in the 08 LCI's. Any other members try this or epxerience this?
Yes, an LCI feature. If left folded, they will automatically unfold when you reach something like 20 mph...

I'm sorry but all that went right over me.... your point is??
Just to make you even more annoyed JeffNNJ I had this feature activated just last week free of charge at my dealer while it was in for something else.
God Bless The UK!

Mak.

Does that mean I can drive in to my dealers and have this feature activated for free!?!?!?!

Sorry ... My car was in for another reason (Microfilter service) and also the key reprogrammed for the central locking. The mirrors were done as a courtesy. I was qouted ?27 though if that helps you.

No good reason for not having this option in the US well as far as I can tell...
There may not be a good reason, but here's a bad one:

Won't someone please think of the children?

(Edit: Don't forget to liberally mix the above statement with contingency-fee attorneys that advertise on TV.)

Cheers Mak but getting confused now - did your car already have the folding mirror option (with the button near the power window switches) and all you got them to do was make it work with your key fob? Or are you saying that you never had power folding mirrors at all and they made them work for free or the ?27 quoted?

Yes the above is correct and I just had to get the key option activated and the switch still does it as well.

I collected my car to be told they CANNOT programme this function any longer since BMW released the latest software upgrade, I personally feel this was a put off and they infact couldn't be bothered, they did however add that (please someone confirm if you can) the latest software release has taken away the ability to open the boot without opening the doors, my LCI production 0307 has never been able to open the boot without unlocking the doors.

A tad confused here
