what year is your car? That can better help answer your questions... cuz MAYBE you already have Bluetooth and already can play MP3s... Hardware wise... just maybe not software wise...
P.S. see things like this is better if everyone just lists their country and specs of their car.

No, you a new TCU and SW programming.
E60 produced pre-March 2004, it needs a new TCU and BT software retrofit programming. Cost = new TCU + SW programming (2 hours)
E60 produced between March 2004 to September 2004, no new TCU needed, just need BT software retrofit programming. Cost = SW programming (1 to 2 hours)
E60 produced from/after September 2004, BT is standard
