My Ride: 545i SE Oct 03 (53 plate) 19" Alpina Classic rims
Can anyone tell me what this part does / is ? 
I was just changing my filter over to a K&N and noticed that this part had a slight oil leak - probably due to a loose clip. (its the pipe coming out of the top of the 'thingy' bolted to the front of the engine (god, I sound like a woman describing that)
The flexible hose connects on to a solid pipe which then disappers behind the firewall. This pipe also fairly moveable, which must be putting some movement down to the leaking joint.
If someone could shed some light, it would be appreciated.

Might not be that serious, maybe only it needs tighten up.
Does it leak all the time? Wash it and check.
The sytems has a very hard pressure.
