Can anyone beat this?

I would like hear about maintenance issues/reliability from those with high mileage (~100k miles) and who have also strictly followed BMW's maintenance schedule. There are a lot of discussions about the need/lack of need to perform for more frequent oil, tranny, diff fluid changes, etc. and I'd be curious to see how the cars are holding up when one sticks to BMW's recommended maintenance schedule.
But I think that is normal with which have more than 100k miles on clock. And my cars still looks and feels like brand NEW from inside and out side. (Check pictures from gallery... http://forums.e60.net/index.php?autocom=ga...amp;album=1845)
P.S. It's quite common here in Finland that people are driving with quite old cars (average age is more than 10 years....) with more than 150k miles on clock

I am glad to have seen this thread - I have 50,000 mi and was starting to wonder if anyone actually kept these cars. I love mine and intend to hold on to it for a while. Like others have said, any issues as the mileage nears 100 - 120K or so?

My Ride: MY2004 530d. Poverty spec
I've owned mine since 108000 (now 137000) miles, and it was a company car previously - services have been as per IDrive for me, and previous owner, as far as I can tell. No out-of-interval oil changes. Oil topped up occasionally by me - I would estimate no more than a litre every 10000 miles between services has been necessary.
I've had no issues with it outside of normal servicing, apart from the bonnet (hood) release cable breaking (although I suspect an overenthusiastic windscreen replacement man did that, but no proof). I get occasional spurious warning messages for bulb failures, and traction control, which then go away again. I suspect the traction control one is always a matter of timing - dropping over the small kerb outside my driveway less than a minute after I start the car sometimes sets it off - I've probably just confused the sensors as they are doing start-up checks.
I have cloth seats rather than leather, and even they are holding up extremely well with very little obvious wear. No rattles or squeaks. Drives very nicely - no obvious looseness in the suspension.

Ive got 109,000KMS and i got the car March 06.
Was thinking of selling her right about now but with the state the economy is in and the way business is going, im thinking maybe 200,000 kms would be a more realistic thought as opposed to 100,000kms.
Looks like shes with me for another 2 years or so.
