My Ride: 2004 545i Sport Package, not really sure what else :p
Hey guys, I'm the proud new owner of a 2004 545i, it's at the dealership right now getting serviced. I was wondering if the stock audio system can use mp3 cds, or can only Logic 7 equiped e60s have mp3 compatibility. What are my options for using an mp3 player? Thanks I'm not really familiar with BMWs, i'm moving up from a Toyota Camry

Congrats on the new car.
If you have navigation you may need the MP3 retrofit outlined here

As far as MP3 player, you can have an iPod adapter installed in place of the CD changer or you can have an aux jack installed and plug in via the headphone jack.
I had the MP3 retrofit and the iPod adapter installed in my 545. There is also the possibility of Bluetooth for your phone depending on build date. It is listed in the door jamb.
