2008 bmw 535i N54 engine
i have to replace impulse sending wheel on exhaust camshaft
(accident damaged and not covered by warranty of course)
opened valve cover already
so, here's the problem.
to do this i need a special bmw tool for locking camshafts in tds position (along with crancshaft)
and that tool it not found for rent any where
small shops don't even have them since the engine is relatively new
the price for new one is around $500 and it doesn't even make sense
to buy it to be used once only
i can make parts of the set on my own
but the question is -
does any one knows what are the camshaft angles on this base plate?
here. ebay item
thanks

unfortunately the answer is no. N52 has a bit different configuration from N53, N54
if U search the web for images of "bmw camshaft locking tool" U'll see the difference
the kits are now sold on ebay for about $390 and have plates for both engines
