I have the opportunity to buy the above spec car and would like to get the opinions of other (non M5) SMG owners. Ideally owners in the UK please.
Please tell me your opinions on the SMG gearbox, and how it pairs with the 3 litre petrol engine.

Can't help directly but I nearly bought one that was a few months old a couple of years back. When I talked to my local dealer they said they wouldn't take it as a trade in since it was not a standard spec. Apparently the car I was looking at had been ordered for the BMW UK press dept...tread carefully!

My Ride: I have a 2007 Black Sapphire BMW 530i with SMG. It has the auburn interior, has PDC, Sports Package, Premium Package, rear automatic sunshades with manual side sunshades, 35% black tint, Upgraded angeleyes from Angelibrights, and Logic 7 Sound System

I have one and its great. I think I covered all the bases lol!

I have a 05 530 sport with SMG and I love it. 83k miles. I enjoy valets and such when they cant figure it out! The only problem i have is once in a while it says Transmission Fault, car may not start again....But it seems to always reset it self. I never use the automatic mode and shifting has become second nature.
