I have a 2007 530xi - manufactured in December '06, delivered in January '07.

I'm finding that I keep having to 'pop' my ears - kinda like when your driving up into the mountains. It's like there's an artifical increasing and decreasing of the air pressure in the passenger cabin. I've found that reducing the fan speed to its minimum helps a bit, but it's not completely gone.

Thing is, I did not experience anything like this when I took 5-series cars for test drives before I ordered one. In addition, I took the car back to the dealer to get some scratches buffed out, and they lent me a 2007 525i. I drove it for three days, and did not experience the feeling either.

I'm wondering if there's a problem with the air flow through the car, or maybe there's an air outlet that's blocked. Anyone have have experience with this?

Do you have the fresh air vent set to automatic, closed, or open?

It's in 'Automatic' (left led off, right led on). Pretty cool feature, if it does what it says!

I think the feature works GREAT, especially when I see a Skunk on the road and I don't smell it... I let the other passengers know we just passed a Skunk and they want a BMW just for that!
