A/C Problem After New Battery

Help, please.
A/C was working fine before the old battery died on me. Had a friend jumped the car once with the instructions in the manual while I was in Santa Barbara and car was in Los Angeles.
Anyways, we replaced the battery when I got back into LA and the A/C hasn't worked since, it just blows hot air now. Tweaked with all the settings in iDrive too...nothing seems to be working.
Anyone have any idea on what might be wrong with the A/C?
