Default A/C not working after LCI Climate control retrofit

Hi guys,

I've swapped my High climate control on my '05 E60 with LCI one. I did the pin 21 "magic" and the electric fan stopped blowing with full speed but when I hit the A/C button it does not work. The cold air is not coming at all. When I return my old climate control everything works perfectly!

Any suggestions?

Now coding was done what so ever.

Hello all,
@bobbyggx did you fix your pb, i have the same issue, and i'm exploring the possibily that it is may be related to the retrofit. i had changed some bad sensor (exterior temp) and the condensor (since i had a leak in it). i may need to check a weird solar sensor in the dashboard (if this sensor may block the AC)
The ventilation is working but i the cold air doesnt blow.
i have the following error ifor AC (using CARLY app)
Heating / AC:
Air conditioning / Klimaanlage
Solar sensor Links
Code: 009C6A
:CAN message / K-Can failure / CAN message consumer power management
Code: 00E720
Short circuit to positive or open circuit (AUC)
Code: 009C54

Might be a dumb reponse but have you coded the IKHA? The retrofit requires coding for proper functioning

Excellent point. If the old IHKA unit has not been removed from the build order and the new IHKA high added to the build order, it will never work.

Thank you guys for the fast reply, it seems that my unfinished retrofit is hunting me :-(, could someone help me out to finish what needs to be done, (i can discuss further my issues with PM)
i bought the precoded cic last year, put it, did the pin 21 for ihka and that's it.
i used today carly to code ihka with no luck
( i have a proper working ncs, and it will be faster if someone point me with the proper steps) never did codings but i read tons of topics of retrofits and im a bit familiar the words.
Thanks !

You gotta used winkfp to write the vin number and update the softuware of the new IKHA. Then use ncsexpert to sg_codiergen the IKHA to your car. Then voila!

As to step by step how to do it, simply google.

Cheers

I have exact the same error codes after my retrofit from pre-LCI ihka-high to LCI ihka-high.

Did you find out what was the problem? Coding or hardware?

Not fixed yet, I have not given it a try.

When I read out VIN from IHKA I don’t get a VINnumber, so maybe I need to code it with my VIN?

If you find a solution, please let me know.

Now i have fix it, no coding needed. The wire from car at pin #21, that one i moved to pin #14, and then solder a wire between pin #21 -> +12v(Red), on the circuit board. And one wire between pin #14 -> GND(Black), see picture.
