Hello everyone! I had posted before about my A/C issues, it doesn't cool at all, some times a little at highway speeds.
Based on my searches on this forum and others it seems it is a common problem on the E60 (2006 530i) with that said, I can't find any tutorials or any info on how to remove and replace the compressor.
I am very mechanically inclined and if anyone has a diy on how to do this I'm sure I can do it, it will be greatly appreciated.

I'm thinking it 'should be a fairly straightforward removal of the belt, two lines, electrical connector, and a few mounting bolts.

There is no particularly difficult thing.
Work was over in less than two hours.

Thank you guys for taking the time to chime in, I've worked in many cars but this is my first BMW.
It is some what straight forward and even though I did not understand any thing on that link I gather it comes out from the bottom.

My clutch broke off, lucky me i was close to work and manage to get there with the steering wheel feeling like a rock.

i have a n54 engine don't know if some of the things remove will apply to your M54/N52.

Maybe, how difficult was it to remove?

In my case, i had to remove the air box, charge pipe, fan, loosen the 2 screws holding theturbo inlet to slide it up for clearance, i did not have to release the tension on the belt cause my clutch was off and belt slip right out.

For me it was Easy.

Well, I don't have turbo or charge pipe so it should be even easier, I had worked on older BMWs which were way easier to work on, same with Hondas and american cars, I do miss the Honda reliability though.
