Only covered 6,500 miles so far and have noticed a high pitched buzzing noise after parking the car. Could swear it never made this noise before. It does it after any length of trip. I know the E60 makes various odd noises when parked but not heard this before.

Anyone have same noise?

Could it be one of the PDC transceivers going wacky?

I got this noise from the very first day. It looks normal. But no idea where is it coming from?

There is some motors, which make something (sic!) under hood. I have thought that it has something to do with AC??

Hear the same thing on my 2005 530i and it's been that way from day one! The same noise occurs when I hit the remote to open the driver's door, even though the car has been sitting in the garage all night. Believe that it's the HV supply for the Xenon headlights. Did not hear the noise on my friend's 2005 525i w/o Xenons.

I just noticed it too. I have about 19500 Kms on it and it just started making funny sounds. When I close my sideview mirrors, they now have a pitched screech when it hits the end!!! :'( anyone else exp. this?
