I found two used vehicles across country at a BMW dealer. I don't have time to fly out to buy car, can anyone tell me if possible to purchase vehicle not in person or must one be physically there at dealership to do paper work. Buyers that have successfully bought car through BMW dealer in another state, please shine in. Thanks

Yes its absolutely possible. But would you really want to spend that much money on something without putting eyes and hands on it first?

You can (should) always pay an expert to put his/her hands on, in, under the potential purchase. Happens at the big auction houses (even Manheim) every day!

Thought I'd chime in and give my 2 cents worth. After searching for my car, I would really think twice before buying a car out of state. Some of the cars I looked at online appeared to be great. One in particular I was ready to buy, based on the the photos. When I finally saw the car in person, it was was a huge disappointment! I couldn't find one thing to like about the car! Plus living in California, bringing and out-of-state car into California is a headache (unless it is a 1975 or older).
Another thing to consider is are you saving by buying out of state? Roll in the shipping and/or gas money into the equation. You might be better off buying local.
Nothing can replace actually driving and touching the car in person.
Good luck and keep us posted.

In reality so much paperwork was done before I got up there it would have taken a good bit to have walked away. I wanted a low mileage, manual, naturally aspirated inline 6, not black, and apparently I'm one of the only people with that criteria. I found what I wanted and did what it took, but honestly I don't know if it was the right thing to do - sure wasn't the easiest.
With that drive ahead of me and most all of the paperwork done, I just completed the transaction as fast as I could.
The interior wasn't as clean as I would have hoped, there was a good bit of wear on parts "under warranty", a damn $14 part on the front was damaged (why not just change it?)...you know the normal BS. After some woolite and a replaced front gasket, I'm trying to figure out how to get these warranty items ironed out.
Good luck. Hope you find what you want.

It is possible but I would not buy a used vehicle if I was not there especially a vehicle like this. Another thing is to always have a BMW mechanic look at it to make sure everything that needs to be fixed on it is. Trust me something always needs fixing on these cars when buying them used.
