alright so i am thinking about buy a 535i but i have a few questions.

"Sport Automatic Transmission w/Shift Paddles : 6-Speed Sport Automatic transmission with Sport and Manual shift modes and steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters.*"

so does this mean there are both manual and automatic transmission that i can choose from when i drive or is it like SMG where there's no clutch but i still need to shift up and down? Basically if someone didnt know how to drive manual could they just shift to automatic and drive and vice versa where if someone wanted the manual/smg(?) transmission they could turn to the option?

Welcome AW535, Yes, you can drive in either mode, & you don't even have to select manual mode, just use the paddles and you will be in the basic manual mode,......had enough of the paddles just leave it & you are back in auto.....pretty cool.

thanks a lot that was great help. Also my friend has a 335i and he has keyless ignition/entry, and when i asked if he needed to buy comfort access he said it was a standard feature is this true for the 5 series?

Actually, I think comfort access is a $500 option on the 3 series and a $1000 option on the 5 Series.
