Sounds like Everyone is not approving this deal..
There must be reason why everyone is like that tho. I will keep in mind~

One more question, this car is at 38k miles, and warranty is expired.

How often do I need to visit the dealership for scheduled maintenance, and do they cost a lot more than other brands? (coming from infiniti, like my 15k mile check up was $400)

I have the exact same car but with M5 rear and quad exhaust. I'm from atlanta also...but yeah air bag deploy is bad thing...I'm guessing your 22 years old so I know how you feel about walking away from a car you really like.

Yeah.. I'm 22. for 22 years old, E60 550i seems too much isn't it? It's like rich parent's car.
Also yeah.. It is really hard, especially when I was really excited about modding beautiful E60 5 Series..

Run away from this car as fast as you possibly can.

I bought the same car a year ago for $37,500 and it still had 9 months of the new car warranty and then two more years of CPO warranty. Find another car. You, and perhaps this entire forum, will sleep better at night

You will find the right one. Don't rush it.

Can you guys please verify this?
It is some research I've done on KBB. Although prices aren't always correct, but I assumed it is most reliable source..

Here it is..

They are all private value

My Current Car on KBB 2009 G37 with 17000 miles, => $33,445
I Currently have a buyer waiting to hear from me at => $33,000
<SELLING $500 Dollar Less>

Year and half later + 15000 miles when I sell the car. (I searched 2008 G37 with 32000 miles)
2008 G37 with 32000 miles on KBB => $27,975
That means I most likely would sell at => $27,975 - $500 => $27,475 1.5 yr later.

Thus, $33,000 (My current car value) - $27,475 (Car value 1.5 yrs + 15k miles) = $5500 losing $5500 over 1.5 yr period

The 2008 BMW 550i with 37000 miles on KBB => $37,485
The 2008 BMW 550i that I'm gonna buy => $32,500
<This owner is selling $5000 Less, due to the accident (airbag deployed), 2 Owners Vehicle, Expired Warranty

Year and half later + 15000 miles when I sell the car back. ( I searched 2007 BMW 550i with 57000 miles)
2007 BMW 550i with 57000 miles on KBB => 29,010
That means I most likely would sell at => $29,010 - $5000 => $24010 1.5 yr later.

Thus, $32500 (My buying price) - $24010 (Car value 1.5 yrs + 15k miles) = $8500 losing $8500 over 1.5 yr period

So ultimately, i will end up losing more money buying BMW??
Also, This BMW is out of warranty, anything happens, it will be out of my pocket, so $8500 + Alpha

Does this seem realistic to you guys?

All cars are depreciating assets. If you're looking at this like a straight investment then that's a bad idea.. especially with the F10 being out already (as previously mentioned in this thread). Think about why you want the car. It's probably because you want a different driving experience and feel. How much is that worth?

It seems to me you're caught up in the moment. Kind of like when people can't let an eBay auction go and bid too high. Everyone is telling you two things:

1) Stay away from a car with a wreck/air bags deployed.

2) You can find the same vehicle for the same price without a wreck on its history.

Take your time and look around a bit more. Compare prices no matter what. There's not millions of E60s out there but there's a good chunk -- especially year 2008.
