Button Start Issue...Jammed!

My Ride: E60 550i Sport
Last night i tried starting my car but when i tried to press the button it was jammed. I had to push it several times for it to release. Even when i got home the same thing was happening. I feel uncomfortable going on the road now cuz im afraid the button continues to give problem. Any recommendation?
