My Ride: 2006 BMW 530i-

Skyped with my wife today and she held a piece of paper to the camera. I couldn't tell what it was and then correctly guessed it was a ticket. Yes, I got busted by the German polizei. I knew I got busted when it happened and told my wife I got "flashed" by a camera afterwards. She said I looked good (sunglasses on, hand on the wheel) but you couldn't tell I was driving a BMW. I got busted doing 11km over. Wow. 25 Euro fine. Nice. I'll attach a copy when I get the scan from her.

yeah. that's germany my dad got a ticket beause he drove 4 km/h too fast (goodwill is only up to 3km/h too much). then he wrote a letter to the police, that he wasn't too fast. it would be a brant that flew beside him so fast that the camere wasn't able to catch it. the police trusted him and he hadn't to pay the money

Yeah, I saw a lot of the speed cameras in Paris. Didn't see any in London b/c I never left the city limits (or is it b/c I didn't know what to look for?). I'm just glad they're not here in the US (yet?). Please no.....

Lol not really to be proud off but still you should be glad that you got busted in Germany and not in Belgium... Here we already get a ticket of 50 ? and that just for wrong parking!
Not to talk about the speed fines already...

OK. You want "severe"?

In the UK for speeds less than 30mph (50kph) excess you get a fine (can't remember how much) AND 3 points on your licence. 12 points or and you lose your license for an "appropriate" period.

For speeds of more than 30mph excess it's an automatic court appearance and if found guilty, a fine, and a license loss for a minimum of six weeks. Plus points on your licence.

Points up to 5 years old on your licence affect your insurance premium.

Nice.

BTW, there are speed camera's in Phoenix, AZ on the 101 Loop. They'll give you a ticket for 10 mph over the limit which is 65 mph. I've got a photo license plate cover on my plate so at the angle of camera the letters and numbers are completely reflected out. Check out this website Anti-photo license plate covers Only works on US plates and motorcycles and yes it is illegal but just a fix-it ticket. I've had cops right behind and they don't do a thing.
