So after I put coilovers on the wagon, a BMW dealership wanted to charge me $1,200 to swap out the inner/outer tie rods because the outers were seized to the inners. I laughed. Bought MOOGs. Went to a local Goodyear shop for an alignment instead. Great shop, tbh. Only $98 after tax for an alignment.
They did the alignment, but told me they couldn't do much for my left rear camber as the adjuster is seized as all hell. I went under, saw the nut and washer pretty damn rusted, and also saw that the bushing is shot to shit.
Seeing as how the bushings in the swing/thrust arm have a metal casing around them, is a special tool needed to get them out/in or will the loaner bearing press at any auto store work just fine?
If I need a special tool that I can't DIY, I'll likely buy a cheap hacksaw and PSB polys, but would prefer the cheaper rubber ones.
