is there a way to do a burnout with my automatic 2008 528xi ?

I don't think the N52 engine in the 528 has enough torque to load the AWD system into doing a burnout. You'll probably end up wrecking the AWD drive system if you keep trying. You may be able to get the tires to chirp.

Even if you turn the traction control off (there should be a button on the center of the dash marked DTC or DSC), your 528i doesn't generate enough torque to get all 4 wheels to do a 'burnout'. A 545 has rear wheel drive and enough torque to get the drive wheels/tires to do a 'burnout' if the traction control is off.

I am guessing it's possible with the car in neutral, revved to max...then drop it in gear while holding gas down. It might not be good for the car, but you should get some spin this way, with DTC off. I was able to spin all 4 wheels on my old 530xi...granted with more HP & torque.
