Has anybody installed the reflector kit on their bumper? How easy/hard is it to do?

Yes, by using the Search mode will find what you need.
It is really strange why they are not allowed in the US.
As you know they are standard in EU and the rest of
the world, I suppose.

Just about all of us here in the US have installed the reflectors...I think there are only a few that prefer the painted inserts.

Very easy to do--under 5 minutes--do a search for instructions. I believe they're around $22 for the pair at the dealer. Before and after pix:

My Ride: 2005 525i Titanium Silver Metalic and 2003 325xi Jet Black with the Premium Package in both cars.
Removed the inserts in a minute, no problem getting them out and putting the red reflectors in. Glad I did it, makes the car look great, now all I need to do is get a nice Spoiler
